IB Maths and Physics Tutor in Mumbai and Online
One-to-one mentoring for IB Diploma Mathematics and Physics, at Standard and Higher Level, in person in Mumbai or online anywhere. Twenty-one of my students have scored a perfect 7.
Your first session is free: a real lesson, an assessment, and a short written plan for what to work on first.
For students who find the step up to the Diploma steeper than expected
IB Maths and Physics are where many strong students first struggle. Questions stop being routine: a single Paper 2 question can pull together three topics, demand an explanation as well as a calculation, and expect the student to choose the method without being told. Students who coasted through IGCSE or MYP can find their marks falling in DP1 without understanding why.
My work with IB students is about closing that gap early. We rebuild the foundations the Diploma assumes, then practise the kind of unfamiliar, multi-step problems that separate a 5 from a 7, and learn exactly how IB markschemes award method, accuracy and reasoning marks.
Not every student who comes to me is struggling. Many are already at a 5 or 6 and want the 7. Twenty-one of my students have scored a perfect 7, and the route to it is the same for both: real understanding, then deliberate practice under exam conditions.

A plan mapped to DP1 and DP2
Topics are sequenced around school tests, mocks and the final May or November exams, so revision isn't left to the last term.

Frequently asked questions
Which IB subjects and levels do you teach?
IB Diploma Mathematics (Analysis and Approaches, and Applications and Interpretation) and IB Physics, at both Standard Level and Higher Level.
Is IB tutoring only for students who are struggling?
No. Many students start at a 5 or 6 and want a 7. Twenty-one of my students have scored a perfect 7 in IB.
When should my child start?
Ideally at the start of DP1, so foundations are secure before the content gets harder. Students also join in DP2 with a plan focused on gaps, mocks and past-paper practice.
Do you also teach A Level?
Yes. Cambridge AS and A Level Mathematics and Physics for Grades 11 and 12, in the same one-to-one format.
Can IB sessions be online?
Yes. Sessions run in person at home across Mumbai's western suburbs, or online for students anywhere. See online tutoring.
Is the first session really free?
Yes. The first session is a real lesson that also works as an assessment, and afterwards you get a short written note on strengths, gaps and what to work on first. There is no obligation to continue.
What are the fees?
Fees depend on the subject, level and format, and are discussed after the free first session, once we both know what the student needs.
Fifteen minutes is usually enough to know if this is the right fit.
Start with a short message with the grade, board and subject. The first session is free: a real lesson, an assessment and a short written plan, with no obligation.
